DETAIL 产品规格

YN-T710 chemically-resistant SBS modified asphalt waterproof membrane

Product Overview

YN-T710 chemically-resistant SBS modified asphalt waterproof membrane is an asphalt-based root-resistant waterproof membrane specifically designed to prevent root penetration. It utilizes polyester fiber felt as its reinforcement base and is coated with SBS modified asphalt that has been formulated with a root barrier agent. Both sides of the membrane are covered with polyethylene film (PE) as the isolating material.

This membrane can be installed using the hot melt method, and for added convenience, it also comes with a self-adhesive layer that allows for self-adhesive installation.

Product Features
  1. It possesses dual functions of waterproofing and preventing plant root penetration.
  2. It prevents root punctures without hindering the normal growth of plants.
  3. It exhibits excellent elongation and high tear resistance, accommodating changes in the structural layer.
  4. It can form a high-strength waterproof layer with strong resistance to pressure water.
  5. It has high temperature and low temperature resistance, suitable for both hot and cold regions.
  6. Hot melt construction with sealed seams ensures full adhesion, enhancing construction efficiency.

Scope of Application
It is suitable for the basement roofs, rooftops, and waterproofing projects requiring both waterproofing and root resistance capabilities in various types of buildings.

Installation Method

I. Installation Tools:
Generally, tools such as gasoline torches or hot melt guns, dust blowers, brooms, mixing buckets, roller brushes or棕brushes, scrapers, scissors, steel tapes, etc., should be prepared.

II. Requirements for the Base Layer:

  1. Before laying the waterproof membrane, the base layer must be strictly inspected. The base surface must be solid and flat, without bulges, concavities, or sanding.
  2. The base layer should be dry, with a moisture content not exceeding 9%, before construction can begin.
  3. Before construction, any protruding cement mortar residue, dust, and debris on the base layer should be carefully removed and cleaned.
  4. For complex areas, internal and external corners should be arcuate, and additional layers should be added to special areas such as pipe roots and drainage outlets.

III. Laying and Bonding of the Membrane:
Position the membrane properly and then bond it using either the cold adhesion method or the hot melt method. The hot melt method provides better bonding results, which can reduce costs and prevent future hollowing of the waterproof interlayer. Leave a 10cm-wide seam overlap, ignite the torch, and evenly heat it. Once the surface of the membrane melts, immediately lay it forward. Be careful not to roll in air or foreign objects during rolling and ensure it is pressed firmly and flattened to remove air. Before the membrane cools, use a trowel to seal the edges and then seal the edges and complex areas to prevent edge curling.
